Kamala Harris is the only woman I had planned for a specific day. I was hanging on to her until November 3rd or 4th, and imagined revealing her as the first female Vice President. Confetti everywhere.

In reality, I couldn’t wait. It’s November today, the election is in two days, and my heart is in my stomach. I guess In some way painting her now felt like taking some sort of action, however small, and action eases anxiety. I try not to waste my energy. I believe where I direct my energy matters, and I wanted to give it all to Kamala. I painted her today in faith. I’m showing her to you today in faith. In my highest hopes for the future of our nation.
